On the 24th of August part of the jury for the European Capital of Culture will arrive in Lund. The day after, they are going to meet some of the project participants and partners.

Lotta Brusk, Information officer for Lund 2014, how do you prepare for the day?
The actual program for the day is prepared, now it is more practical details to be refined. Many people are involved during the day, and we will visit several places and it is important that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
We want the jury to have a really nice day.

How will the day be like?
We will present some of the projects and our prospective partners. Lunch is served in the garden of Maryhill and dinner at The Museum of Sketches.
At the same day the event "Lund 25:e" taking place in the city. There is a wealth of exciting cultural projects that have received grants from Sparbanken Finn Future Foundation. These projects will be presented in the City Hall and other different locations downtown.
We are also preparing the final presentation that will be held before the jury in Stockholm, September 8th. The same day we will get the decision whether it is Lund or Umeå that will become European Capital of Culture 2014.

Lund Capital of Culture application is now printed and sent to Kulturrådet in Stockholm.
Now it is up to the jury to decide who becomes European Capital of Culture 2014.
